This week is earth week. There is technically only an earth day - Thursday April 22nd but lots of people celebrate for the week, learning more about how they can give back. I posted in my stories last night a challenge I’m going to participate in, and invited anyone who would like to join in. I’m saddened as only one person so far has messaged me to take part in. I totally understand people are busy, doing their own thing.. I just thought more people would be interested in it..., especially because @formerfibres is offering a prize to who collects the most, some incentive to partake. You already go on daily walks with your dog, bring a shopping bag even once in the week and help out?! Picking up plastic bottles on your walk with your dog. That’s it! I know there are quite a few people who do this on a regular basis. Including myself, I go through phases of doing it often and taking breaks. I thought this would be a great time given its earth week to do a bit more and give back, in my own neighbourhood. @formerfibres uses thread from recycled bottles. Did you know that one bottle can be turned into 100 meters of thread! That’s insane!! If anyone else would like to join, I would love that!! We started our weekend by viewing five houses Friday after work, then going to a nearby park and explored the area while having some ice cream. Our Saturday was a lot of errands in the morning then had a bbq with our family and played some outdoor games, then Sunday was more house viewings followed by a new trail we found that led us down to the river. We had a festival of @sunshinepupco bandanas on our hike this weekend! We had a photo challenge within our team. The challenge was to get all your gear and your pup in one photo however you like. We have 39 bandanas from her, and love all of them equally! So this was my idea what do you think??... There were a few people who passed while we were here taking photos. One gentleman going for a run asked me if there was a race going on.. I should have said YES! Kyro and Kimchi are a blast to watch adventure together! We have only been out a few times together, each time them figuring out each other’s needs and boundaries with play a little bit more. I feel that socializing Kyro is important. Building friendships with other dogs is important and having that bond grow is important.
