It is with pleasure to announce that effective December 18th 2020, Mr. Keaton Cloud has been appointed as the Fire Chief for the Town of La Ronge. Born in Prin...ce Albert and a member of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Keaton graduated from Churchill Community High School and went on to graduate from Lakeland College where he obtained a diploma in Emergency Services. Keaton has served on the La Ronge Regional Fire Department for nearly 6 years and has been in the role as Acting Fire Chief for the past year. We are thrilled to have him serving our community! A very special congratulations going out to Michelle Vandevord with the Muskoday First Nation Fire Department, who was recently elected as the first female president of the Aboriginal Firefighters Association of Canada!
