Q: What is Rockstar Bootcamp? A: Rockstar Bootcamp is group music lessons. It is an 8 week program designed for all levels of musicians as young as 8yr olds. P...erformance on 9th week. Q: What do I learn? A: A song, possibly two! Rockstar Bootcamp focuses on song structure, musical phrasing, and how instruments work together! Q: Do I get to play my song/s in front of a crowd? A: Yes! After 8 weeks of working on the song/s and creating a band banner to hang at live performance, we play in front of friends and family!! Q: Where is Rockstar Bootcamp? A: Classes are held at Gateway School. Q: What’s the cost? A: $126 gst incl. There is also a silver plate collection to help with pizza party on performance day! Q: Who will be in my Bootcamp? A: Each 30 minute time slot is a band! If you want to be in a band with a friend you must be in same time slot. Otherwise, your band will consist of whoever signed up for that time slot, this is a great way to meet new musicians! Time slots are: Monday 3:45-4:15, 4:25-4:55, 5:05-5:35 Tuesday 5:05-5:35...the 3:45 & 4:25 slots are Gateway School students. Thursday 3:45-4:15, 4:25-4:55, 5:05-5:35 ...potential for 9 bands!!! My goal is to help develop an active music scene in and around Meadow Lake & area. I will help & encourage the bands to perform at events like the Telemiracle Radiothon, ML Jam in the Park, on a float during parade, and any community celebrations that could use entertainment by the Rockstar bands!! Also, it’s pretty cool to be able to learn a few songs to play around the campfire!
