At La Belle Vallée, we’re taking the situation very seriously so we took some extra precautions on top of our already stringent food safety measures to keep supplying cheese to our local stores. We just delivered to Long Table Grocery yesterday, where Amy and her staff are doing a fantastic job at keeping us all stocked with greens and groceries and going the extra mile by delivering the orders. This is exactly what we need in times like these and it’s essential that we all support our local stores in these challenging times so they will still be there and going strong after the crisis.

Hi everyone, Because my professional career in natural resource development has become more and more busy lately and so has my family situation, I don’t have enough time to put towards my Quesnel based cheese business. After trying to somehow balance everything for two years, I am coming to the conclusion that I may have to sell the business. The company is currently operating and will be until we can make a smooth transition. The business can be sold turn key, has a good market, is financially viable and unique to Northern BC, so there is a lot of room for expansion. If any of you hear of someone wanting to get started in Cheese making please refer them to me. I think this is a great opportunity and I wish I had more time and didn’t have to make this decision. Happy new year to you all! We took a short break over the holidays but are back at it and made our first delivery of 2020 at Long Table Grocery. Today, we had the chance of taking part in a round table discussion on the upcoming foodhub and food production in BC with Premier John Horgan at Long Table Grocery! We took the opportunity to bring up the struggles and challenges facing small artisan cheese makers and small food processing businesses in general. We are excited for the new year and thanks to all of you who support us, you are the reason this is all happening.
