Here' a great article about the healing benefits of Copal incense, which we import in 3 different forms (sticks, raw white copal, and copal de memelo). The health and personal benefits are numerous, as copal is known to reduced blood pressure, increase motivation, increase self-esteem, stimulate concentration, decrease insomnia, relieve headaches, increase creativity, promotes personal well-being and pleasure, and even relieve arthritis. If you'd prefer to read this article in English, just open the link in Google Chrome, and click on the Translate button on top...

This is what raw copal looks like - a hardened sap that comes from the sacred Copal tree. The wood is used extensively for carving Alebrijes (see my short film here: https://youtu.be/ShSxx6w10DA). We're now importing Copal incense, both in this raw form, and in convenient incense sticks.

The pattern in this photo is from the ancient ruins in Mitla, Oaxaca. These same patterns are being lovingly woven into LaBotica.ca's bags by Oaxacan artisans.
