Lac Cardinal Pioneer Village Museum

We are a part of the "Spirit of the Peace" museums network. "Being a part of this network, provides the volunteers and/or staff of our area museums the opportunity to: interface, share experiences and knowledge, and learn more of the history of the whole region. Snowy Sunday afternoon at the village.

A person wonders how many more sunny Sunday afternoons left in the year.

Two members of the museum board, Luc St. Hilaire and Ed Pimm, took on the task of rebuilding a chuckwagon, which was donated by Mr Bill Henderson. Due to age, all the wooden parts had to be replaced, which happened through a combination of Pimm's fine wood working equipment, and maple donated by St.Hilaire. The wheels will need to be rebuilt later on, but the next step is a covered wagon box and a chuckbox. Pictures provided by Luc St Hilaire.

At this time of year, our little church is usually so busy with weddings and special events. It's good to look back at all the work it took to have it at the end of our Main Street.

Thinking of our local farmers and their families. The equipment has changed, but the workload hasn't!
