Pine Point Report Sept 12, 2021. Water temp 60.3 today on the wind swept shore we fished. The walleyes were in 15 to 20 feet of water. They are definitely on the feed as they all had bellies full of baitfish. PPR tip of the day; the wind is your friend, buy a wind sock, fish for fish you see on your electronics and buy some slow death hooks.

Pine Point Report Sept 03, 2021. Another chunky 24 walleye for E.S today. Take your kids fishing or take someone else’s. The bite is slow for some and hit for others, cooler temps and wind are keeping things interesting to say the least. Our season is nearly over. Book some time for 2022.

Pine Point Report Aug 17, 2021. Water temp 67 for the most part. Limits of Walleyes were easily caught in 18 to 30 feet of water on a shoreline flat. Crawlers and minnows did the trick. Pine Point Report Aug 13, 2021. Water temp 66 today with high winds. We spend a couple of hours casting spinner baits picking up a few dozen smallies and Northerns. The biggest northern being mid 30. We did cough up this giant perch to make this interesting. The US border is open and clients are coming up. We still have some room. #perch #fishingcamp #lifeatthepoint

Pine Point Report Aug 10, 2021. A nice chop today blowing into the Point today. Several US clients have crossed the border with no issues. All seems well in that regard. Pine Point Report Aug 08, 2021. Water temp 66. We fished within sight of the Point. Boated a couple limits pretty easily today in 18 to 24 feet of water. Pine Point Report Aug 3, 2021. Water temp 67.5 in the area we fished. Smokey day on the water. We went out for an after dinner bite. We had plenty of laughs and enough fish to keep us Interested. Lots of fish marking in the 25 ‘ range on sharp edges coming up to flats. Most fish taken in the 18 to 15 foot range. #lifeatthepoint #walleye #fishingcamp #rvlife

Pine Point Report July 26, 2021. Water temp was 66 for the most part today. Cannon wanted to cast spinner baits today so off we went. We boated 55 fish (Northerns and smallies) with a few Northerns in the mid 30’s. He then wanted a walleye for his mom. So a quick 10 minute stop put two in the boat and we were off. Pine Point Report July 20, 2021. Water temp was 69 today on the mid lake shoal I fished this evening. No shortage of walleyes on that sand bar. Fish were caught in 8 to 15 feet of water. Slow presentations on C3PO worked out well. We still have room in September and October, you can book a Wings and Walleye trip. Pine Point Report April 12, 2021. Another cool day at the lake today. The ice is melting quickly revealing a very low water line, I am sure a few new rocks will come into play if things do not change. Pine Point has seasonal camps for rent along with RV spots. Head to the Point for a change of scenery.

Pine Point Report March 24, 2021. I just wanted to remind everyone that the Walleye opener is the third Saturday in May this year which translates to May 15. This is the weekend before May two four (Victoria Day holiday) Book a cabin or an RV site and take your kids fishing!

Pine Point Report Sept 28, 2020. Fall is an amazing time. The colours, the activities and the cool air are tough to beat. Our archery crew had a successful day today taking this beautiful bull moose. The water temp is 55 and the smallie bite is off the charts. The walleye bite has been slow the last few days, they seem to be scattered for the moment. Pine Point Report Sept 18, 2020. What a great fall day! The pup and I started on a grouse hunt that ended successfully. We then hit the lake to complete the dinner menu. Water temp is mid 50’s today. We fished the Point today as the west wind was blowing up on it. Three way rigged minnow baits did the trick with the largest being this 22 incher. Schools of fish were Marked in 18 to 25 feet of water, sharp edges going into 30 plus feet of water were best. White and blue white hard baits seemed to produce the most. Pine Point Report Sept 06, 2020. We went for a late afternoon fish and boated ten walleye and a few northerns. The high winds have been turning up the lake. Water temp is high 50’s to low 60’s. We fished a few spots before landing on one that lit up and made for an exciting short fish. PPR tip of the day, buy a wind sock to maintain the proper boat speed. Fishing is still excellent with the south shore starting to light up. 18 to 25 feet of water seems to be my marker. Pine Point Report Aug 14, 2020. Water temp was 67 today with a slight breeze blowing north. We boated over twenty walleye in less than three hours releasing a bunch over 17 . Crawlers were the most successful today. The bite was very subtle but easily picked up on with the proper setup.
