2019 Year in Review: In June, the Lacombe Airport is designated as a regional facility. It’s a very big day. We’ve got more than just a new name here we’ve got a taxiway developed last fall that is now allowing for new hangar construction to begin in the spring that’s going to give us a chance for sustained growth at the airport, said Lacombe Flying Club President Jon Fromm. 2019 Year in Review: In May, Len Thompson Fishing Lures unveils the "World's Largest Lure," - a scaled up version of their yellow and red Five of Diamonds featuring a 14-foot tall hook and a 28.5-foot tall spoon. Together they’ll form a 40-foot long monument, weighing almost 2,600 lbs, set to become the world’s largest, commemorating the company’s 90-year history, and acting as a community symbol for years to come.
