Welcome to the 2021 Box Lacrosse season! While we continue to have registrations rolling in and wait to finalize the schedule, any U18 (and/or U15) players with only field experience or new to lacrosse overall are invited to come to an early "Intro to Box" session Tuesday night from 8:00-9:30 at Eastern Baseball Academy (85 Maple Hills Ave., Charlottetown). Athletes don't have to be registered to attend, but protective equipment will be required. At our extra practice today we talked about how boys have had the opportunity to play lacrosse longer than girls and how they benefitted from those experiences.... I am here to say that it doesn't matter WHEN you choose to play, it depends on HOW PASSIONATE you are to play! The love of play is what drove me to go from the only girl on the team (pictured below) to the coach I am today. If you want to play, then PLAY! Lacrosse PEI joins the Holland College Hurricanes in expressing our sympathy to Ross’s family, friends, athletes, and co-coaches. Ross was the true example of Coach. Ross was very competitive but players came first on the field and off the field it was all family and friends. Ross has left us too sudden and too soon, but he has left us all with a wealth of knowledge, smiles, and memories.

Older athletes interested in attending the training camp and tryouts for the East Coast Junior Lacrosse League’s Mi’kmaq Warriors, based out of Truro, are welco...me. This includes past Warriors, 2020 and 2121 draft eligible athletes. Usually athletes are from 17 to 21 years old (this year extended to 22 because of the lost 2020 season), but exceptions may be made for younger athletes. Eligible birth years are 1999 to 2003.
