Another Teacher Feature today, we have Mrs. Stark! Mrs. Stark is the Ballet Director at La Danse. She enjoys sharing her love of ballet with each and every student she encounters. Ballet has taken her from Saskatchewan to LA , to New York , and even all the way to London, England ! Mrs. Stark has mentored many ballerinas some who have even gone on to become ballet teachers themselves. Fun Fact: Mrs. Stark adopted her two black pugs Baldur and ...Loke, from Mexico ! @stevedionne

Our second Teacher Feature is *drumroll * Ms. Myers! Ms. Myers is the Tap Director at La Danse. Before this, she owned her own studio in North Battleford where she taught all styles. She also lived in New York to train with some big names . Throughout her 49 years of teaching dance, Ms. Myers has become known for putting on her spectacular tap productions filled with intricate rhythms and formations ! Fun Fact: one year, a dancer forgot her costume shirt... and had to borrow the blouse Ms. Myers was wearing to match the group! @stevedionne

O N E Y E A R Today marks one year since we closed our doors due to the growing global pandemic. What a heart breaking time we all went through, dancers and teachers alike. Although our in person contact was limited, the wonderful world of technology and social media allowed us to be together while apart. Dance challenges and live classes with incredible instructors carried us through the next several months until we were finally able to reopen in late July for a dance ...camp. The fall of 2020 started us on a new and interesting journey of in person classes with rules and limitations that became stricter as time went on. That brings us to today, March 16th. One year later and we are still feeling the effects of the pandemic both in and out of the studio, in our personal and social lives. Through all the ups and downs we have endured, we cannot help but be thankful for our incredible dance family and community. Thank you for standing by us, supporting us, and trusting us to keep your dancers safe. Mandatory Masks Before, DURING, and after class. Even though we have been doing it for a few weeks already, the Government has now made it official that masks will need to be worn during classes.
