Sadly yesterday our wee pup Annie took her final sleep...I'm grateful I decided to work from home and have the last bit of time with her!!! Don't mind me over the next while if I'm a bit of a mess at work...
Since reopening June 1 I have been working from home. I have decided to continue with this and not return to the chiropractic office I have worked at for nearly 6 years. I will miss my colleagues but this is the best choice for me now.
Well, just into week 2 of the return, it's been busy and tiring. I hope by the end of June I've got my strength back and am working my normal schedule. Keep you posted!
It's been a busy day, sorting through the many clients who want in, deciding-which isn't easy-who qualifies for treatment and who doesn't under the essential priority and respecting my body! I've definitely gotten weaker over these 10 weeks off work! So, in Week One I've got a few days with one client booked, then two clients booked, well apart for a rest and to ensure proper cleaning, and I'm booking Week 2 with more of my normal break time but still less of my client load.... It's all so new, I want to make sure I get everything right and don't make people sick. I've also decided, with the consultation of my quarantine group of my husband, dog and cat, to return to work from home. Annie, our dog fur child, isn't doing great and I want as much time with her as possible! So she voted 1000% for me to work from home...the hubs was 100% and SeeMore the cat, well he was indifferent, as cats are! COVID-19 and the year 2020 are causing some major life events for sure...but, this house has had a home based business before and it worked out quite well, so here goes!!! See more
On Tuesday May 26 The Ministry of Health listed all regulated health professionals as essential. On Wednesday May 27 the regulatory college for Massage Therapists has informed us that RMT's are now permitted to gradually restart Massage Therapy services. We are being directed to prioritize clients who need essential care first. Massage therapy is considered essential when the clients overall health or function would considerably decline if treatment were not provided such as hospitalization. I will resume treating on a by client basis due to this requirement.
Info has come out on what PPE massage therapists might need to treat, I'm currently in talks to source 6 months supply at least! Some think we might be back in June...who knows! Hoping to see you all sooner than later :D
So, massage therapy did not make it in Phase 1 for reopening, and the Premier is not sure if we will be included in Phase 2 or 3...stay strong clients and if you need self care advise, message me! I can set you up with some online videos for stretching, exercises and self massage. However, as one client requested, I can not send whiskey in lieu of a massage...

Clients...when we reopen!
Please reach out to your MPP's and let them know you want massage therapy to be allowed during this time! https://www.ontario.ca/page/list-essential-workplaces... Health care and social services: # 38 Regulated health professionals (urgent care only) including dentists, optometrists, chiropractic services, ophthalmologists, physical and occupational therapists and podiatrists.
So I gave my last massage on Mon Mar 16, I've been closed since...Today I cancelled out to May 15 and don't have any booked clients until May 20. I don't take lightly having to cancel any clients massage so while I know you miss me, don't feel like this is easy on me either please.
Check here, on Facebook, on my website, http://www.ladybugmassagetherapy.com/... or text me at 905-377-0264 for updates!
In light of the state of emergency declared combined with the strong recommendation from my regulatory college I am suspending treating until April 6. As things progress with COVID 19 I will reassess the situation. Thank you for your understanding at this time.

It's that of year again! I'm all booked for 2019 and planning out 2020 so send in your requests and get yourself booked for next year :)
Hey everyone! Sooooo, I'm booking a good 6 weeks in advance for less than prime spots...prime were booked before 2019 started...nearly at the point where I can't take new clients on if I want to keep the current clients booked! So, plan ahead, get booked or I will have to send you along to other therapists who have room sooner.
There's still a few precious appointments in December of 2018 and January of 2019 (I will be away for 2 weeks) so if you aren't booked yet, be in touch! As well there will be a $5 increase in all my rates. The increase is now in effect for any gift certificates sold and will be in place for appointments booked after Jan 1, 2019.
FYI folks...Green Shield says a nap is better than a massage...speak up, talk to your employer, change plans!!! No one naps through a massage at my clinic, it's all about health care and massage being a strong, solid part of it!
Not exactly what I do...
The last spots are booking up, the cancellation list is long, short of a Christmas miracle people will be waiting until 2019 to book in!
I can help when the body parts are working against you! Just a few spots left in 2018...so message me!
Just a few spots left this year! Get booked in before they are gone.
Happy Massage Therapy Awareness Week! We will be sharing stories this week from real people who have received massage therapy treatments that helped them get back to doing what they love. #MTAW #massagehelps

The conclusion of my sixteenth year as a Registered Massage Therapist is fast approaching. In an effort to continue providing quality and dependable care for many years to come, I've been mulling over some changes. Rest assured retirement is NOT one of them! As of September 1, 2017, I will be implementing the following: -60 minute breaks between clients rather than the current 30 minutes -Thursday hours -Shorter days... -Earlier start on Fridays I will treat Monday through Thursday 12 pm to 7 pm and Friday 11 am to 6 pm. These changes will allow me to provide you the care you deserve. I will be honouring all currently booked appointment times unless you prefer to adjust them yourself. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. Thank you, Jessica See more
