Have you been in to meet our Brewmaster, Rob Creighton? He is the mastermind behind all the brews you've tasted from the beginning of our journey 5 years ago. He started in the industry at Labatt, "1000 years ago"... gave his best to a few other breweries after that, met Ed at an Ontario Craft Brewers Conference in Toronto and the rest is history. We consider ourselves lucky to have found him (or for him to have found us); you often hear Ed & Shawn say he hasn't made a bad b...eer yet! Rob's ultimate favorite beer is his BarrelShed Amber, he is a pale ale lover and finds it well balanced, easy drinking with depth, body and flavour. Cheers to Rob!

Our Brew Crew have outdone themselves this time. They have extra-aged our BarrelShed No.1 Amber Ale in Flat Rock Celllars Pinot Noir French oak barrels and have come up with a beer befitting a salute to our Beer Club members for our 5th Anniversary. The Cask V Anniversary Ale is unfiltered and has been allowed to ferment much longer than usual. The result is a rich flavourful beer with hints of maple and a smooth finish from the wine notes. The pinot noir from the oak is evid...ent and is a pleasant addition to the overall taste. At 8% ABV and 37 IBU, this is a great beer to enjoy exclusively as a Beer Club member until May 1st when we will offer it to the public...if there's any left. We believe that this is what friends do -- support each other and work through the tough times together. Going forward, our brewery will remain open daily from 11am to 9pm (10am on Saturdays), with a maximum capacity of 10 people seated indoors, and 25 people outside on our heated patio. You can always enter to place a to-go orde...r for our beer. We remind everyone to use the hand sanitizer we have available throughout the brewery and to wear a mask at all times, except for eating and drinking at your table. To our Beer Club members and growler fans, Growlers are still being filled under a strict sanitization process that will ensure everyone's safety. Tavistock Hopyard provided us with an Ontario grown version of New Zealand Rakau hop from their 2020 harvest that was picked, chopped, and spread over the wort in our wooden foudre. This is a unique wet hop style that is deep in colour, body and has a very distinctive tropical fruit and candy hop flavour. Finishes with a light smooth bitternes...s.
