LaHave River Trail Association 25.05.2021

See a lot of people posting lately how they don’t want to join a club for all kinds of reasons in that.......... Well here is a few pictures of some of the thin...gs that local clubs have been doing to work hard to maintain trails for people to enjoy. So maybe you should think about supporting a club or trail association by joining or purchasing some raffle box tickets in support of their group. SSAVRTA- placed a kiosk in the New Germany area for all trial users to be able see local trail maps, upgrades to the rail trail, clearing site lines at trail heads, clearing site of where the New Germany Trail Bridge will be placed. LRTA- Upgraded sections of the trail also adding pavement to a road crossing, bushing cutting of big portion of trail, bridge repair, along with to working to gain landowner agreements to make the connections that are missing heading towards New Germany. CNATV- did some major upgrades with help from community support doing major upgrades to the New Germany Legion parking lot creating a proper area for all user to access the trail, begun work on major connection trail Naugler Rd to Best Western. Crossburn Snowmobile- did major upgrades to Peter Stillwater’s bridge to make safe for all trail users. These are only a few things that had been done this last little bit there are countless volunteer hours and other projects that have also been done.

Once again we have signs that are being removed off the trails on LaHave River and the South Shore Annapolis Trail. Stop signs, stop ahead, slow with mother ...n child, cautions signs, trail ends. This is very DANGEROUS removing these signs as they are to alert the users of the trails what is coming ahead. It is costing the clubs money to replace them. This could be money that could be put back into the trail system. We work hard to keep the trail system well maintain and safe for all users. Anyone with any information please contact [email protected]

Lahave River Trail Volunteers worked very hard yesterday to perform up grades to the bridge along side #10 by Bruhm Rd. Please use caution as we still have to get the railing in place. This is currently the end of the trail in this section. Lahave River is working hard with landowners to hopefully one day have a trail connected completely from Bridgewater to New Germany.
