L&R Ranch

Meet Edgar. He has become our house chicken and the mascot rooster from our sign He was getting bullied in the coop by another rooster and when I found him he was hurtin real bad. I didn't know if he'd make it though the night, so I brought him in the house and out him in the broader box with the turkey poulets. Not only did he make it through the night, he was really good with the poulets. They snuggled up with him at night. It was all really cute to see. Edgar made a fu...ll recovery and when the poulets went out to the coop, Edgar hopped up on the edge of the brooder box and has perched there since (it's been about 4 days). He loves scratches and snuggles. He doesnt try to fly around or wander the house. He just sits on his perch and hangs out with us. He'll chirp and make cute chicken noises but he doesnt crow. Very considerate. Rusty insisted that we keep him as a house chicken since he's recovered so well while in the house and he may not be able to do well in the coop.
