Happy Easter from all of us at Lake Centre Dental! We are closed today through Easter Monday and will open again on Tuesday, April 6th!
Baby teeth are weaker than adult teeth because the enamel is thinner, which is why regular check up and cleanings are necessary in maintaining your child's healthy smile . Regular visits to the dentist's office also helps to ease dental anxiety, allows for early detection of cavities and establishes a lifelong dental health routine. To book an appointment or if you have any questions, call us!! ... 780-594-5150 https://www.lakecentredental.ca
Do you have a Tooth Fairy tradition to share? We recently heard of one that sounds pretty neat! A receipt from the Tooth Fairy!! ... Kids see you get a receipt in return for paying for your groceries and items, so why wouldn’t the Tooth Fairy leave one? There are loads of adorable printable receipts out there to take inspiration from! This way, they can keep their receipts and keep track of how many teeth they’ve lost, and how much goes into the piggy bank! Share with us your Tooth Fairy Traditions!
We made a new little friend, and isn’t she just the sweetest! No sugar bugs for her!! Keep up the great work Emma!

Even if you take excellent care of your teeth and gums at home, you still need to visit a dentist regularly. Your dentist can check for problems that you might or might not see or feel. A lot of dental problems, like cavities or the early stages of gum disease, aren’t visible or painful until they are in more advanced stages.
There are such good people in this world and THIS is a story of pure love and joy. His generosity goes above and beyond and her smile says it all!
Happy Holidays from all of us at Lake Centre Dental Group!

Being kind can significantly improve our physical and emotional wellbeing - whether we are giving or receiving it. There have even been scientific studies into the effects of kindness, showing that acts of kindness help your immune system, reduces stress, gives you energy and are good for your heart! The power of being kind goes even further, it has been proven to slow ageing, improve relationships and it's contagious!
Our office will be closed on Wednesday, November 11th, on Remembrance Day, as we honour those who have fought for our country and our freedom.
"Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind." - Robin Williams. Men’s mental health is vital to all families and communities, yet is not nearly discussed enough. In Canada alone, 75 per cent of people who die by suicide are men. This Movember, let's remind the men in our lives that it’s okay to talk about their mental health so they don't have to suffer in silence. ... What can YOU do to help make a change? 1. MOVE!! 60km for the 60 men every hour lost to suicide each hour. Run, walk, spin ..... fast or slow ..... just do it! 2. DONATE to make a difference in men's mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer https://ca.movember.com/donate
With Halloween fast approaching, our sugar intake may be higher than normal. As our children head into a week where candy intake increases, we encourage your whole family to continue brushing at least twice a day with toothpaste that contains fluoride, and consider visiting the dentist (before the end of the year!) for a routine check-up. After all - a SMILE is the prettiest thing you will ever wear!!
Visiting the dentist can be a source of anxiety for many people, but for someone living with autism or sensory processing challenges, the experience can be particularly overwhelming. We believe a strong relationship between parents and the whole dental team is essential for children with autism to access dental examinations and have a comfortable dental experience. At Lake Centre Dental Group, we have experience treating people with autism and we love to take great care of ...them! www.lakecentredental.ca 780-594-5150
Everyone knows dental care is important for children and adults, but what about baby teeth!? Your child should be seen by a dentist by the age of 1. After that, he or she should have regular "happy teeth" check-ups to make sure the teeth stay healthy. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact Lake Centre Dental Group at 780-594-5150.
My wish is for everyone to find thanks this weekend! If you know that this is a difficutlt weekend for someone - open your door to them and share with them friendship. Happy Thanskgiving!
When a smile flashes across your face; dopamine, endorphins and serotonin are all released into your bloodstream, making your body relax while lowering your heart rate and blood pressure. Did you know that the brain doesn't know the difference between a fake & real smile. So, if you’re feeling down, fake one! Chances are, you'll make someone else smile too!!
