I designed these rashguards through my company NTB FIGHT GEAR and I’ve been waiting for them to show up for quite awhile now, like a loooong while (for my Judo students) - tracking the parcel every day through DHL, and finally today they told me at customer service the box is sitting in Richmond... so I’m praying that the box arrives at the Kelowna DHL depot tomorrow so I can still get them out to the s...tudents in time for Xmas, (a lot of parents bought them for their kids for under the tree)...then I get this call (and a text and an email!) from a guy who works at a company called Tekmar in Vernon and he said this strange box full of shirts (with no paperwork) was left on their dock... he was nice enough to track me down by opening the box and seeing the LAKE COUNTRY JUDO logo on the shirts, find our website and contact me through there in multiple ways to get it to me. He even met me after work at an A&W to do the pass-off... what a guy! Now I’ll be able to play Santa tomorrow and get them out to all the kids (and adults!) thanks to this awesome human! Important Announcement for Judo BC Yudansha: Judo BC is excited to announce black belt grading will be held in 5+ locations throughout BC this December for th...e first time ever. This decision was made in order to limit social interactions, align with COVID-19 protocols and to help reduce the cost to candidates by eliminating the need to travel to Richmond. Below is a tentative listing of the grading dates and locations. Please note that some dates and specific venues haven't been confirmed yet and all of these grading are subject to change due to the status of the pandemic. Also note that these locations will be for Shodan and Nidan candidates only. For those wanting to grade for Sandan or higher, we will be setting up grading via video or zoom. December 5 (TBC) - Firefighters Club, Burnaby December 5 - Prince George Judo Club December 6 (TBC) - Nanaimo Judo Club Grading are also being planned for 100 Mile House, Vernon and in the Kootenays in December. The dates and specific locations will be announce shortly. Grading candidates must submit their application and payment directly to Judo Canada and the deadline to submit is November 22nd.
