What challenging times we are living in right now. If anyone had of told us that 2020 would not allow us to have an in person AGM, I think it is safe to say none of us would have believed it. We wanted to inform everyone that we had a very successful AGM via conferance call. It was very encouraging to have some new interest in joining the association. At the end of the AGM the new executive was elected as follows:... President: Mark Urquhart Vice President: George Andrews Treasurer: Randy Whitehorne Secretary: Caroline Hong Past President: Henry Windeler Women's Representative: Anna March Burden Senior's Representative: Vacant Youth Representative: Vacant Indigenous Representative: Michelle Baikie Director: Madelyn Kelly Other Directors: Vacant Northwest River/Sheshatshiu Representative: Vacant Churchill Falls Representative: Vacant We still have room for some other positions, as mentioned above. If you are interested in joint our group, let us know.

I just went over to check on progress for the Labrador Wellness Centre. This $25.5 Million Project began construction a few days ago. I am very proud of the $11....7 M contribution from the Province...that together with support from the federal and provincial governments, and corporations will mean we can be swimming in the new pool, walking on the track, and dropping off our children at the Centre’s day care by December of next year.
