What a perfect color for a chair by the lake! I had the privilege of painting a special chair that belongs to a very very good friend of mine. It turned out beautiful with a fresh coat of tinted stain by Benjamin Moore, and white Tremclad on the metal. This chair is now ready for many more years at the lake! Some pictures from the past three months of painting at Buck Paradise.

For the past few days I’ve been staying in the Moose Lodge at Buck Paradise in Paradise Hill filling my heart with painting and enjoying the beautiful landscape... out here. Painting the island was an interesting project as the stain on the top needed to be food safe. Thanks to Cindy Macnab for her recommends to use real coffee to stain the top and Fusion Paint for the main cream colour... it turned out to be a gorgeous piece! The bar project also turned out great by using my favorite Spanish Oak wood stain topped with Varathane. I feel so blessed to have such good friends that trust me with their projects and so lucky to stay in such a beautiful lodge in a great location. There are four cabins here in total and soon I’ll also have the opportunity to stay at the Bear’s Den. Here’s some pictures of my projects, the place and some of my new friends. Buck Paradise Outfitters is Saskatchewan’s premier hunting outfitters lodge and Grant & Lana along with the son’s Garet and Ian are great hosts! In the off seasons the cabins can be rented out. Can you imagine having tea on this beautifully embellished pink rose tea cart? This piece is absolutely my favorite, it turned out so delicately beautiful. The sides raise and lower, and the handle is magnetic, it easily drops down for a full table use.

1970 Silvertone Solid State record player with AM/FM stereo radio with really good sound! Only a slight topcoat of stain and varnish was required to update this beautiful record player.

New legs arrived! Can’t wait to try these out. I added these cute legs to my grandma’s old dresser. I think it gave the dresser just a little bit more personality!
