The Municipality is offering a number of Northwood InTouch Safety Pendants to seniors living in their homes to have for the winter. The InTouch Pendant can be worn around the home and used to call for help from EMS etc... in case of an emergency. If you know of a senior who may be interested in participating in this free program, please contact the Municipality. There is an information session on Sept. 30th. Info from the Municipality:... There will be a LADA Trail Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 24th at 7:30pm at the Firehall in Scotsville. All are welcome to attend.

The Lake Ainslie Volunteer Fire Department is taking part in an online 50/50 draw with other fire departments throughout the province. Tickets can be purchased online by Thursday of each week (by Nova Scotia residents only) and the name goes into the province-wide 50/50 pool. Be sure to use the drop down menu to select the Lake Ainslie Fire Department as they will also receive half the sales of tickets sold in support of the department.
