Today is the day. Effective July 24th, the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit requires face coverings in enclosed public spaces of business. Thank you all, in advance, for your cooperation.
Power is now back on.
Hydro One has reported an outage in our area which affects some sites throughout the park. Restoration time as of now they say is 2:15am.
Please see below regarding the fire rating for our area.
Thursday May 14, 2020 Hello Everyone, We hope everyone is keeping well during these unprecedented times. ... As per the Ontario Governments announcement today, May 14, 2020, private parks and campgrounds may open Saturday May 16, 2020 to enable preparation for the season and to allow access for trailers and recreation vehicles whose owners have a full season contract. That means that seasonal campers who have paid their seasonal fees in full will be permitted to enter the park. We need to ensure that everyone who is planning on coming into the park as of May 16, 2020 is aware that it is certainly NOT business as usual, but we want to allow you to come in, open up, clean up and get ready for the summer if you desire. You are welcome to just come for the day and leave or stay overnight. Please note the below guidelines will be in effect while you are visiting the campground until further notice: 1. Public washrooms (including outhouses), shower and laundry facilities will remain closed until further guidance is given to us by the ministry of health (please respect this and DO NOT use the washrooms even when they are closed); 2. All playgrounds, rec hall, mini golf and tractor rides will be closed; 3. The store/office will be closed (payments can still be madeplease ensure it is in a sealed envelope with Lot number on it and place it through the mail slot in the office door; 4. There is currently a complete fire ban so no fires are permitted at all until further notice from the MNRF; 5. The water will be turned on but it has not yet been tested so it is not drinkable at this time; 6. You are still required to follow the social distancing rules therefore no gatherings of more than 5 people (unless it is your immediate family living in the same household); 7. Pumpouts will only be done during the week, not on the weekends. If you require a pumpout to be done please ensure you request it no later than 11am Friday to ensure it will get done by the weekend; We hope that everyone will respect these guidelines so we can continue to remain open and have an enjoyable season. We thank everyone for their continued patience and understanding as we all navigate through this together. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 705-384-5455. Regards, Maria and Eddie
IMPORTANT UPDATE! Please be advised that we are aware of the update put out today allowing campgrounds to open Saturday. We are trying to figure this all out ourselves as we just found out when everyone else did. We will keep everyone updated and will have an email out to everyone later today. We do understand that everyone is excited to get to their trailers but we have to ensure everyones safety comes first. Please be patient and we will have an update out as soon as we possibly can. Thank you in advance for your continued patience and understanding.
Please be advised that with everything going on and as we are not categorized as an essential service from the Government, the park will remain closed to everyo...ne until further notice. Nobody is permitted to enter the park for any reason even to just rake the leaves etc. We hope everyone is well and staying healthy and safe during these uncertain times. We will update everyone once we have more information ourselves. Thank you for your understanding. Here is a little funny for today. See more
