Today we profile MSc graduate Samantha Morris, R.Kin. She works in the Preventative and Clinical Screening Services Department at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Throughout my two years, I had the opportunity to become involved in an exercise oncology program where I learned how to adapt and modify exercises based on individual needs. The intimate learning experience offered at Lakehead University allowed me to develop a good rapport with faculty members and collaborate on research and lecturing opportunities within the school. Applications for graduate school are due February 1st. Apply now or contact Erin Sargent for more information. erin.sargent @lakeheadu.ca

A few more gems from the 4th year 2-day hiking trip. Great weather, great friends, socially distanced. A great break for the mind and body.

School of Kinesiology 06.11.2020

Each year, 4th year students embark on a 2-day hiking trip. It looked a little different this year with students completing this near their home town in small groups. Students prepared with their instructors online...safety, trip planning, & equipment were in the menu. Each student was given a polar H10 heart rate monitor, connected to their phone to learn more about the physical side of their chosen route. It looks like it was a success and we have a few talented photographers in the mix! A furry friend even got to join this year.
