SGI has re-opened in car driver testing as of September 28, 2020 for most Driving Tests. You will be required to have the following available: Health Canada Approved Disinfectant, Hand Sanitizer, a Mask and a Signed Waiver form. Failure to provide these for your test will result in you having to re-book. Appointment booking is still being handled by Head Office and you must apply for an appointment. Appointments can be booked for all drivers who are required to take a road test for any class of driver’s licence or motorcycle endorsement. Only drivers who have reached the required age and are fully eligible to take that test can request an appointment. Drivers must first purchase a road test recei...pt, which can be done by calling or visiting a motor licence issuer. Once they have the receipt, drivers must complete and submit the Road Test Appointment Request form on SGI’s website at the link above. Customers must have a receipt or they won’t be able to book an appointment. Drivers will also need to download and complete waivers to bring to their road tests. Due to strict enhanced safety protocols and equipment limitations, the number of tests is limited and waitlists are expected. Drivers are asked to be patient as they may still face a longer-than-normal wait.
