Hello Everyone, Let’s talk about climate change. Over the next several weeks - and perhaps months - we’ll be discussing climate change and how it’s affecting our community. We want to make this conversation intersectional. So, we invite you to drop your comments, ideas, and suggestions. Everyone that comments will be entered into a weekly or monthly draw, where you stand the chance to win a tablet or other amazing gifts.... What is climate change? Climate change describes a change in average conditions - such as temperature and rainfall- in a region over a long period of time. Global climate change refers to the average long term changes over the entire Earth. These include warning temperatures and changes in precipitation, as well as the effects on Earth’s warming, such as: Rising sea level (storms are growing more intense with the warming seas/oceans) Shrinking mountain glaciers polluted Rivers and Lakes Ice melting at faster rate than usual in Greenland, Antarctica and the Arctic. (Virus’s are being released from once permafrost.) Changes in flowers and plant blooming times. Endangered species Drastic decrease in food supplies. (Hunting, fisher etc.) Before we continue our conversation, let’s hear what your thoughts are about climate change. Everyone the comments will be entered into a draw. Winners will be announced shortly. #IRTCClimateChangeConversations
