Just a fun, noisy, star trail photo blend from last night’s short photo shoot. Star trail images, with stacks and stacks of individual photos, never work well with the northern lights. The northern lights brightness melds into this muddy blob of colour, but I can’t resist assembling a star trail image when Polaris is so perfectly centered in the sky. Photo 9. Same story as the rest ~ I apologize in advance, as this is just one of many (likely) posts from last night, err, this morning’s rather epic geomagnetic storm. I even took a drive around town to find some alternative views. The forecast started out weak, so I actually went to sleep without plans of a photo session. But.....I woke up, unplanned, at around 1:30 am and looked outside. Well, that was it for me.
