It has a uplifting fresh scent attained by combining pure grapefruit, tangerine, spearmint, peppermint essential oils. The beautiful sunny colour is obtained through infusing the olive oil with annatto seed. This soap will leave your skin clean and supple. It’s a joy to use We are open to 5:00pm. DRAWING SALVE. This is an age old remedy that stood the test of time. It is used to treat bug bites, drawing out those tiny slivers you get from handling wood, and healing scrapes and cuts. You can even use it for spot treatment of acne and boils. How it works. The salve has ACTIVATED CHARCOAL and BENTONITE CLAY. Both have been used to draw out impurities and poisons for centuries. It also contains annatto oil and bees wax. Both have incredible anti microbial properties. Add in the classic Lavender essential oil for healing and Tea Tree oil for antibacterial benefits. Everything together creates this powerhouse salve. As you can see it’s black. It will stain clothing. To use, apply to the affected area and cover with a bandage. I personally like to apply it before I go to sleep and wash it off when I wake. And reapply as necessary.

Hi everyone . Amazing beautiful day today at the Lakes Artisan Centre. Today I want to tell you all about Coffee Soap. This soap smells so good! All natural notes of coffee, Dutch cocoa and vanilla make using this soap a delicious uplifting experience. Coffee oil is said to have many skin benefits like skin tightening properties. This comes from the essence of caffeol which is the oil from the coffee bean and activated with heat. That is why it works so well in making soap.... I use freshly ground coffee beans to brew the liquid needed in soap making, and coffee infused oil. This vegan soap also contains coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil and castor oil. It has a rich bubbly yet creamy lather. Leaving your skin clean and moisturized. Come out to see all the AMAZING one if a kind items handcrafted by your talented local artists. We are here until 5:00pm.

Yesterday was printing day. To speed the drying process up I hung St. Luke's close to the woodstove in my basement. And since I was printing anyway I printed some owl cards too. All prints are hand-pulled linocuts, NOT reproductions made by a computerized printer. If they dry fast enough I'll have some at the Artisan Centre on Friday. ~ Beate "Owl's Stone Carving, Linocut and Knife Making"
