To all our friends! À tous nos ami(e)s ! We hope you have made it through these difficult times in good health. This pandemic period has been hard on both musicians and their audiences. As the situation evolves, we have been working together with Union Church, hoping to start holding concerts again as soon as possible.... Our current plan is to start an abbreviated season in January. It is likely that vaccine passports will be required for attendance, and reduced capacity and safe spacing will be in effect. We will update you on the details of these concerts as the status of live performances becomes clearer. In the meantime, stay well. Nous espérons que vous avez traversé ces moments difficiles en bonne santé. Cette période de pandémie a été dure tant pour les musiciens que pour leur public. Au fur et à mesure que la situation évolue, nous avons collaboré avec l'église Union, dans l'espoir de recommencer à organiser des concerts le plus tôt possible. Notre plan actuel est de commencer une saison abrégée en janvier. Il est probable que des passeports vaccinaux seront requis pour la participation, et une capacité réduite et un espacement sécuritaire seront en vigueur. To our friends... À nos amis... Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we must cancel our annual student concert, which had been scheduled for April 19. More than 20 students had signed up for the competition and we were looking forward to a wonderful end to our season.... As you know, we also cancelled our March 20 concert with Elizabeth Dolin and Wei-Tang Huang. We still hope we'll be able to reschedule this event. En raison de la crise COVID-19, nous devons annuler notre concert annuel des étudiants, qui avait été prévu pour le 19 avril. Plus de 20 étudiants s'étaient inscrits au concours et nous attendions avec impatience une merveilleuse fin de saison. Comme vous le savez, nous avons également annulé notre concert du 20 mars avec Elizabeth Dolin et Wei-Tang Huang. Nous espérons toujours que nous pourrons reprogrammer cet événement.

SAISON REPORTÉE Depuis 1960, la société de musique de chambre du Lakeshore produit des concerts de musique classique d'une qualité exceptionnelle. Pour la saison 2020-2021, nous avions prévu un concert gala pour célébrer nos soixante ans, ainsi qu'une saison complète des excellents concerts auxquels notre public s'attend.... Malheureusement, comme tant d'autres organismes artistiques, nous avons dû réduire nos activités en raison de la pandémie du COVID-19. Notre dernière saison a été écourtée, et maintenant nous ne voyons aucun moyen de planifier l'année à venir alors que les choses sont si incertaines. Par conséquent, nous devons remettre notre saison 2020-21. Plusieurs des artistes que nous avions prévus ont indiqué qu'ils seront disponibles un an plus tard; et si les conditions le permettent, il nous sera peut-être possible d'organiser quelques concerts au cours de la saison. Mais nous ne pouvons pas pour le moment accepter d'abonnements, ni faire d'autres plans, pour l'année à venir. À nos amis et abonnés, vous nous manquez tous! Nous attendons avec impatience le jour où nous nous reverrons dans la magnifique église Union pour assister à de merveilleux concerts classiques ensemble. Restez en sécurité et en bonne santé jusque-là!

SEASON POSTPONED Since 1960, the Lakeshore Chamber Music Society has been producing classical music concerts of exceptional quality. For the 2020-21 season we had planned a gala concert to celebrate our sixty years, along with a full season of the fine concerts our audiences have come to expect.... Sadly, like so many other arts organizations, we have had to curtail our activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our last season was cut short, and now we see no way to plan for the coming year when things are so uncertain. Accordingly we must postpone our season for 2020-21. Several of the artists we had scheduled have indicated that they will be available a year later; we may also be able to hold a few concerts during the season if conditions permit. But we cannot at this time accept subscriptions, or make any other plans, for the year ahead. To all our friends and subscribers, we miss you! We look forward to the day we will see you all again in wonderful Union Church and enjoy classical concerts together. Stay safe and well until then!
