Controlled Articular Rotations My every day routine . CARs help to improve your joints’ ability to do what they need to do. This means we can load that joint more efficiently which, over time, leads to higher athletic performance. Also, if a joint is unable to do what it needs to do, you will have to compensate and use other joints that may not be capable of doing that movement correctly. These compensations are a major cause of lost performance and injury. If we can make sure our joints are doing what they are designed to do, we will have healthier joints and improved performance.

Hi, my name is Tvisha and I am nine years old. Since I was 5 I have been doing gymnastic classes. My gymnastics class would end late in the night so when I was on the way home I was ready to have nice and comfortable sleep, but was not like that in reality instead I had to sleep with lots of aches on my body which stopped me from having a pleasant sleep. Every class the pain would get worse than before to a point that I did not ever feel like doing gymnastics, but I did not ...want to give up. A few days later I was introduced to yoga, when I started yoga I would have the same aches as I did in gymnastics but after a few months of practice not only did all my aches go away in yoga all the pain in gymnastics even stopped! Another great thing in yoga is you don’t have to be pliable to do the pose because there are props to help you. Props will help you stretch as much as you can without causing any pain and then a day comes when you can do the pose without any props. Along with an increase of strength and flexibility I experience my mind calm and peaceful. Thank you Ms.Zhanna for helping me. See more

My journey as a yoga teacherstarted in 2005. I lovetopractice and I love to teach yoga. I always thought Icouldheal myself justbypracticing yoga. Yoga was everything for me. In 2015 I seriously injured my knees.... I was trying to heal myself;I gave myself rest;I did not do any poses that would cause any pain. I asked more advanced teachers to help me, butthepain did not go away. I went to physio therapy and it helped. Allthenicetreatment took the pain from my knees away, but not for a long time.It would come back as I would practice yoga, and teach more often. After 2 years I was ready to quit. I thought,how can I help my students if I cannot help myself. Somethingwaswrong with me, I was depressed. My physio doctor explained to me "Zhanna nothing is wrong with you . You are naturally very flexible, you have very long, lean muscles you need to strengthen your bodyso that youdon't have pain in your knees.You have to have strong buttocks. Zhanna, you need resistance training.After so many years of yoga practice,just yoga asanawillnot help. You need to shorten your musclesandmake them very strong " I said " No I will spoilmy practice!" She said "No youwillnot;it will help you to continue to practice yoga and teach ." So I have been doing resistance trainingformore than 2 years. It has helped me a lot. I got much stronger. When I practice yoga I can feel I am engaging my muscles. It is so much better when I do my practicewithoutpain in my knees. I understand more about my body and understand how I can help my students.My teaching is changing.Resistance training helps my yoga practice and also I know from my personal experience how yoga benefits resistance training. I canunderstand now how a stiff person feels in ayoga class. Myboyfriendgoesto a gym a lot, and yoga helps him to stretch and balance muscles. He loves yoga. He said,"Yoga helps me afterathegym a lot. Nothing helps me to open my chest and shoulderslike Iyengar yoga."
