Hazards: Freezing rain... Ice accretion up to 2 mm Untreated roads and surfaces may become slippery Timing: Freezing rain will begin late Saturday morning and switch to rain by Saturday evening. Discussion: An approaching system will spread precipitation ahead of it Saturday. This precipitation may start as freezing rain for a few hours before switching to rain as temperatures warm. Some ice accretion is possible, and untreated roads and surfaces may become slippery. With the warm up into the evening, any ice accretion from the morning should melt. A Freezing Rain Warning is being considered as this event draws nearer. Note, Environment Canada's criteria for a Freezing Rain Warning is freezing rain lasting 2 or more hours or causing impact. Hi Folks, Due to the Covid 19 pandemic we could not gather at the Cenotaph in Lakefield this year honouring all our Veterans was by done by live streaming a ‘condensed’ Remembrance Day Service on YouTube. Mike and I attended after the silent service and laying of the wreaths seeing our dear friends George and the lovely Stella while social distancing. God bless you all and thank you! We remember... Hi Folks, A warm welcome to the month of December, the docks are put away, no shuffleboard for Eileen, canoeing or basketball all the items stored away in their winter spaces. It’s time to take a break and relax and as I gazed out on to the Lake today our Otter friends arrived to give us a show on our Lake T.V. While our little Symba had office plans with our brochures! Good Morning Folks, What great weather it’s been again for getting on with more fall projects in Paradise! Working away outside at our waterfront cottage 2, the old tree stump out just need more soil and some grass seed to tidy up the lawns for next year. Big thanks got out to Feeney Roofers ,Sam and the team did a great job replacing the old roof on our home and office! Well done Guys. Hi Folks, We’ve had some colder weather at the Lake mixed in with very windy storms which led to power outages at the weekend from 4:30pm until after 9:pm some properties are still without power, we are truly thankful to Hydro one’s crews for getting us back on track! A lot of trees down in Lakefield we were very fortunate with just a lot of big branches down so a good tidy up around the resort just in time for a delivery for a new roof for which cottage ? ....Yes it’s the waterfront cottage our office and home. Temperatures going up for the next few days so perfect timing to get this project done before the snow comes. Keep well everyone from your hosts & friends Mike Eileen & Symba
