Professional Staff Update Most of you have gotten to know Stefan Anderson. But here is maybe a few things you may not know. Stefan has been apart of our golf shop team for the past 1 and 1/2 years. Joining the shop team midway through 2019, at this point in time Stefan had made it known that he was looking at pursuing a career as a @pgaofalberta professional. He spent 2020 working hard on his game and in the fall he was able to pass his play ability test @valleyridgegolfclub.... Stefan has a unique past in which being a golf professional is his second career. He graduated from the U of C in 2003 with a BSc. in Applied & Environmental Geology, which took him all around Northern B.C. and the Yukon as a Junior Geologist in the mining industry. Following the challenging mining industry, Stefan joined the oil and gas industry as a well site geologist. Stefan loves to travel and has spent time at the Everest Base Camp & Kala Patthar. Stefan has an athletic background playing multiple sports (football, rugby and snowboarding, to name a few). But Golf has always been a passion for Stefan. He spent time working at Bearspaw G&CC, @canmoregcc, Golf Canada Calgary Center, before joining @lakesidegcalberta team. Professional Staff Update Meet Nic Longley! Nic is born and raised in Calgary where he grew up playing hockey, football and soccer. At the age of 15, his mother purchased a junior membership @valleyridgegolfclub where Nic honed his skills as an avid golfer. With a tremendous amount of encouragement from his Uncles and Grandfather, Nic pursued his new found passion for the game of golf, turning it into his career when he passed his Play Ability Test @golflacombe this past summer. After growing up and working @valleyridgegolfclub for the past few years, Nic made the difficult decision to leave a club that was so dear to his heart and join the Lakeside Staff! Nic is very excited to continue to grow and develop as @pgaofalberta professional at Lakeside GC. Please join us in welcoming Nic to the Lakeside Golf Club Team! @niclongley_golf
