We are having a huge staff shortage. Some are in isolation due to possible interactions with positive COVID cases , and some because of fear of working in a high risk place . So we appreciate your patience in fulfilling your prescriptions as we work around the clock to fill the large amounts of prescriptions. I would also use this opportunity to again reinstate the upmost refusal to be rude to our overworked staff at the dispensary. We reached a point when a few patients hav...e the audacity to call our staff : idiots , and better quit and sit at home because : - prescription fulfillment took longer - medication is no longer covered for insurance/ pharmacare issues out of our control - switching First Nations coverage from NIHB ( federal plan ) to pharmacare ( provincial plan ) which aggected what is covered and what is not . I do understand the stress and the anxiety during a pandemic. But we have ZERO TOLERANCE for abusing our overworked staff , the staff that show up everyday facing the risk of contracting COVID with each prescription received at the counter or interactions with our patients-and customers . I asked the girls to write down the names of those abusers , and whatever number of prescriptions brought to us from those individuals, that is the least of our concern , our concerns are summarized in two points : 1- the well-being , health and filling our patients prescriptions without errors 2- Respect towards our staff . The individuals ( who i will post their names next time they show their bad manners and lack of respect) will be permanently banned from entering the store . We will give them a chance to fill their prescriptions but without entering the pharmacy and have to wait outside . And if they repeat this behaviour while waiting outside then the prescriptions will be transferred to vanderhoof Apologies to the vast majority of the great people of our community, and we thank you for your ongoing support and the encouragement you give to the staff who are risking theirs and their families health . And for the individuals who the post is targeted against , next time for anyone of you disrespecting our staff you will be answering to myself ( Shadi ) and i am at my wits end from the daily disrespect to my staff .. and this is the third time we address this but looks like we need to keep reinstating this In anyways, please stay safe , as you know by now that our community is heading towards increased cases of Covid. Hopefully this shall pass and we will work our best to take care of your medications and other healthcare services as long as we are open . Best Regards, Shadi

Hello All , We had posted a few days ago about policies we had implemented at our pharmacy like the need to wear masks , checking peoples temperatures at the door ,..etc . Apart from having less than 20% of the pharmacy visitors abiding by this , we were also reported by some to Northern Health that we were spreading misconceptions. We were probably wrong about advising immunocompromised patients to wear N95 masks as these are reserved to healthcare workers as per Northern H...ealth message to us . But we wanted to make sure that those vulnerable individuals are mostly protected . Also Asthmatics could have their condition exacerbated by wearing masks , but we thought that the alternative of catching COVID for an asthma patient is much worse . In anyways, due to the many unhappy people about this despite the fact that we had your health as our number one priority, and due to some people reporting us to Northern health . And some nasty reviews on google reviews for being a poor pharmacy provider . We decided to lift all of these restrictions, we only ask you to keep social distancing by following the marks on the ground, other than that you dont have to wear a mask unless you want to , we wont be checking for temperatures at the door . We will though continue to enforce our in-house rules for our employees to wear masks and gloves , cleaning with bleach at least twice a day , hand sanitizers stations . As for all of you , you are free to do what you are comfortable with : wearing a mask or not , no temperature checking at the door Thank you All and hopefully you all keep safe

Dear Customers: In the upcoming couple days we will be using contactless IR thermometers for each person entering the store , this will let us know if the person has fever or not and we would intervene accordingly. NO ONE will be denied service if they have fever , we will fulfill filling prescriptions or any shopping needs but might have to wait outside the store .... A country we could learn lessons from despite its limited resources: **Smart and Caring leadership ** Strategic thinking and action : Testing targeted and Random *** and mostly the people that take this matter seriously and apply physical distancing , staying at home , and care for each other. We could relate here in CANADA, we have that successful formula and we will be flattening the curve soon and follow the Jordanian model .

Due to some urgent prescriptions needing filling, we were asked by Dr.Pawlovich to open the pharmacy for a few ill/ in need patients . So we will be open today until 1 pm . Only urgent/ must have prescriptions please like antibiotics that werent picked up last week .

COVID-19 cases in BC as of today

Please read ** We got accused from some people that we are filling one month prescriptions for financial gain ( dispensing fees ) which is really sad and insulting to us . We are working hard to accommodate everyones needs .. and we put our patients well-being and our Canadian nationwide chain of supply ahead of anything else . We will accommodate filling 3 months supply if asked to do so , but please consider others

Is there local groups that receive donations to face the pandemic and support our community? Lakeside pharmacy is wanting to donate crucial supplies and cash donations to those groups. We have a plan to donate to our local hospital and first responders , but if you know of any groups accepting donations whether supplies or cash please highlight them in the comments . We want to provide as much support possible to our local community and pay back to the community that supported us throughout the year . Our patients that used us and supported us by shopping local deserve our full support .. and we believe there is no better time than now to give back as a thank you to all of you who supported us throughout the previous years .
