The Real Estate Council of British Columbia has announced new rules regarding assignments of real estate purchase and sale contracts. These new rules will take effect on May 16, 2016, and will require clauses to be included in all standard contracts, which will effectively prevent assignments. Clients may instruct their realtors not to include these new standard clauses. http://www.recbc.ca//media-release-new-contract-assignmen/
