This photo shows hail damage to an asphalt cap shingle. Why is a cap shingle likely to suffer more damage than a field shingle from hail carrying the same amount of impact energy? a.They are the highest point on the roof. b. Cap shingles have a softer substrate. c. Hail is more likely to hit them at a perpendicular angle.... d. Cap shingles are generally made from lower quality materials. WHAT IS YOUR CALL

Runoff has found its way into the soffit, draining against the chimney and entering the space behind the siding, causing decay. c. Gaps created by structural movement of the chimney. d. Accumulation of condensation from the gas-burning fireplace combined with an un-insulated exterior wall. Moisture impermeable vinyl siding hindered drying to the outside. See more
