Dear members, Please be advised as of April 28, 2021, the hours of operation at the Lakota will be from 7am to 7pm. Unless an rental is booked then the facility will be open accordingly. Feedings will still be done daily at 7am. There will be multiple night checks of the horses as well.... Due to the cost of operation and the lack of larger rentals we are having to make cutbacks where we can. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this difficult times. Reminder, when you are moving out of your stall for summer please strip the stall entirely. Thank you Board of Directors

Good day members, We are happy to inform you after some hard work by our board, working with City representatives and Northern Health, we have come to a better understanding. Going forward, we are allowed up to 20 riders in the arena at any one time. Private rentals will be able to continue. Local members will still be allowed to haul in and ride, but local members only. Local is considered Dawson Creek and surrounding areas (Arras, Groundbirch, Farmington, Rolla, Baytree, Bo...nanza, Tomslake and Gundy). Memberships may now be sold to locals. Social distancing will be required while riding, 10ft when riding your horse. If social distancing is not possible then masks are to be worn at that time. All previous rules as far as masks in the barn area, signing in and social distancing are all still required. We ask that when you are traveling in the main corridors that you pass left to left, and remain socially distanced as you pass other users. There will be no spectators allowed at any time. The exception to this is the parent or guardian of the child or children riding. At that time we ask the parents/guardians to sit socially distanced in the grandstands. There will be markers on where seating is available. We ask that you keep the number of non-riding family members and friends to a minimum or not at all in the facility. We greatly appreciate everyone’s understanding in these times. We ask that everyone still cooperates with these rules and our enforcement of the rules. Dear Members, We wanted to keep our members in the loop with the recent stuff going on with Northern Health. We apologize for taking so long to inform everyone as we were waiting on some important questions to be answered by them before sending out the information to you guys. They have recently informed us that we are only allowed to have two people riding in the arena at one time we realize this could be difficult for everyone. We have come up with a plan that you can book... the arena in a time slot format from anywhere from hr, 45-minute, 1-hour time slots. In these time slots we ask that you social distance from the other member you are riding with as well as not set anything up like jumps, barrels etc. as we are trying to be efficient so everyone has a turn to ride. If you would like to set these things up we ask that you rent the arena privately, this can now be done at any time of the day as well as the same variation of time slots. Please remember with the rentals that only the people riding in the time slot rental can help set up and take down and to have everything taken down by the time the rental is over as we can’t let the next group in until its down. Drop ins by non-members is not allowed at this point although drop ins by current members is allowed if they have requested a time slot and it’s been approved. On a brighter note masks are not required to be worn while riding. Finally, we want to remind members it’s critical that proper mask wearing is being followed as well as social distancing in the building. We are forced to enforce this matter as our facility is at risk of being shut down. They have informed us we have had numerous complaints and aren’t going to give second chances out. We ask for your support during this time as our main goal is to keep the facility open in the community. That being said we encourage members to rent the facility as this is financially going to take a toll on us.
