360 Degree Video: April always marked the time where we looked ahead to a new season. We can't wait for the first time we can do this again!!! It's been awhile!
Yesterday, we talked about how our black uniforms are an important part of Lambton College Men's Basketball history. Case in point: This photo shows one of our greatest starting lineups, who scored a combined total of 5,279 points.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Not being able to play the game we love has made us think a lot about where we've come from, and where we want to go. We've been training hard to be ready to represent our community proudly, like those who have come before us. For that reason, we are bringing back our classic look with a modern take: the colour that we wore to win our first provincial medal, send our first players pro, and the colour that will see our future teams take it to the next le...vel. We are back in black! We hope you like the new threads!
PIC OF THE DAY: Men's Basketball All-Time leading scorer Branden Padgett is all smiles (scoreboard related?) as he takes an earful from Mohawk guard Jordan Ma...rtin. The wood shows that this was one of the final games played in our old facility. Also, nice jerseys!
Congratulations to 2020 Lions Alum Jason Watts on winning the Armenian A League title today in his first season as a professional! Jason was named the Top Power Forward in the league, was selected as a league All-Star and won the All-Star Dunk Competition! #AlwaysALion
Lest We Forget. We may not be able to live out scenes like this right now but we will be back remembering those who defend our great nation the next opportunity we get. Photo: Veteran Fred Lamourea, accompanied by Canadian Armed Forces Reservist and Lambton College student John Hemstreet, is recognized prior to our game against Sault College in 2018.
ONE YEAR AGO TODAY: The Lambton Lions, care of a Denes Hegedus bucket and free throw with four seconds left, knocked off the Canadian #1 ranked Sheridan Bruins 100-99. We can't wait to get back on the court!
The team is getting some much needed R & R at today's SAC student life event. Happy Fall Break, everyone!
Happy Halloween! We are skipping the candy to get some work in!
FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY: On the night of October 24, 2015, the Lambton Lions defeated the Humber Hawks 83-74 in the original Lions Den to kick off their OCAA bronze medal winning season. For those fans that have been supporting us since before we moved across the hall, this was a good one! Branden Padgett led the Lions with 25 points and four assists. Mike Lucier had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Shawn Hill scored 15 points and pulled down 8 boards with Jason Marshell also scoring 15. Rookie guard Tony Smith scored 11 and had 6 assists. Frank Benneh had two to round out the scoring.
