We invite you and your family to have some colourful fun! Using a ziplock bag add red, blue and yellow paint. Seal the bag tightly (tape) and observe as your child explores the bag using their senses. As your child mixes the colours around in the bag the primary colours will create secondary colours. Use this time as a learning experience. Take the opportunity to discuss what is happening and how the secondary colours are being created.

Parenting is one of the toughest jobs at the best of times. Parenting during a pandemic adds another huge layer of stress that can leave us feeling isolated. These uncertain times can make us feel overwhelmed as parents and caregivers. The educators at Lambton College and Coronation Park EarlyON Centres want to remind you that we are still here to support you. If you are in need of some time and space to discuss your needs as a parent, your child’s development, activity ideas or any other parenting concerns please email us at [email protected] to set up some time for a phone call, email or video chat with one or more of our educators. We can work together with you to find the resources you need to thrive during these difficult times. Image borrowed from https://www.facebook.com/powerofpositivity

National Child Day is celebrated in Canada each year on November 20 to commemorate the adoption of the UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child and UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. By ratifying the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1991, Canada made a commitment to ensure that all children are treated with dignity and respect. This commitment includes the opportunity for children to have a voice, be protected from harm and be provided with their basic needs and every opportunity to reach their full potential.
