* Flu Shot Statement Central Lambton Family Health Team is dedicated to the care of all patients. For patients ages 65 and greater, we have received an average... of 25 HD (high dose) flu shots per physician and NP. This translates into 250 doses for 15,000 patients. Not all patients fall in this demographic to receive the HD but the demand far exceeds the supply. Primary care receives a supply of flu shots through public health. We can only offer the supply we receive. Good news is that we have a good supply of the quadrivalent (4 strain) version of the flu shot which provides excellent protection. Although it is not the HD dose, it still provides good protection against influenza. We have requested additional HD doses but have been told there may not be any additional vaccine this season. Therefore, we are encouraging those age 65 and older to still get the regular flu shot. We understand this is upsetting but we are at the mercy of the supply chain. Please do not get upset with staff when you contact the office and are informed of the situation. If you feel strongly and wish to complain about the lack of access to the HD flu shot, you are welcome to contact the MPP in your area to provide feedback. Given the recent confirmation of COVID-19 in Lambton County, we feel it is necessary to heighten our social distancing policies. Effective immediately, we wil...l continue to operate with regular hours, while limiting access to the public. Our doors will remain locked through the day, and all patients must wait in their vehicle. Save time by ordering your medications and over-the-counter items in advance, and providing a credit card number for payment. Upon your arrival, please call us at 519-882-0650. If a consultation is required, or you wish to speak to a pharmacist, it will be conducted over the phone. When ready, your order will be brought to your vehicle. To our Amazing Customers and Community, Starting today, March 21st, we will be limiting the amount of customers that enter our store. We will only have every ot...her checkout lane open. Please practice social distancing in the store, leaving six feet between yourself and other shoppers. Please wait until the cashier is finished with the customer before unloading your groceries. Please use credit or debit. If you bring reusable bags or bins we ask that you pack them yourself. Please limit your conversations and get in and out as quickly as possible. As a necessity to protect our medication supply, effective immediately..., all medications will be dispensed for 1 MONTH ONLY. This includes all maintenance medications for diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, etc. Please understand that our staff are under a lot of stress and are working very hard to care for all of our patients. Unfortunately there are some items that are not available due to panic buying and stockpiling, including MASKS, GLOVES, and HAND SANITIZER.
