Leave yourself extra time for your commute this morning! Roads are snow covered with low visibility due to blowing snow. Secondary highways have whiteout condi...tions when vehicles pass and in some spots it’s hard to tell where the ditch & road meet. Slow down & drive to the conditions! Take extra care on bridge decks, on/off ramps and intersections! Please turn your headlights & taillights on. Safe travels everyone! Let us know how your commute was!

If you are on the roads today, take your time, slow down, and be extremely cautious while passing emergency crews and our friends in the towing business. Stay safe!

A great night of training at the Lamont County Regional Training Center. Crews from each station in the LCES family train hard to provide the community with exceptional service. Crews from Lamont Fire and Chipman Fire were here honing their search and rescue techniques in a smoked out building.. as well testing their skills in the confined space apparatus. Thanks to Amanda Dobie Kpa-ctp for the awesome pictures tonight. As always, if something like this intrigues you and you want to be part of an awesome family, send us a DM and we can get you started. Stay safe!

Well.. when you let the officers try out some new, battery operated tools, this is the result. That was a Volkswagen! Thanks to Holmatro and TNT tools for letting us demo some impressive tools.

Learning how to Use power tools is an important part of our job. During wildland fire season, sometimes we have to fall trees to make the area safe to get into, or so they don’t accidentally fall on us when we are working.

Wildfire training part 2. Fire breaks are made to help slow or stop the progress of a wildfire.

Lamont Fire Department 29.03.2021

Even though it is officially spring, Mother Nature has different plans. Roads in and around Lamont County are in poor Winter driving conditions. Give yourselves plenty of time if you need to venture out on the roads today. Stay safe.

Lamont Fire Department 28.02.2021

It’s wildland fire season, and an interesting way to learn about how fire behaves is to actually watch it in a controlled burn. We can then teach ways to use different tools ( other than water) to knock it down and put it out. Stay safe everyone

Lamont Fire Department 14.02.2021

Spring is the time for wildfires, so we are brushing up our skills and learning more about our new to us tender. Hauling water and effective water shuttling is an essential part of our job

Lamont Fire Department 01.02.2021
