Here is the weekly challenge!

Lampman School 14.01.2021

Since 2013, Orange Shirt Day has been included in many schools' September event list as an opportunity for students and staff to participate in reconciliation. Lampman School will acknowledge this day in order to increase awareness about the tens of thousands of Indigenous children throughout Canada who were removed from their homes and communities and sent to residential schools. As wearing pink has become a very powerful anti-bullying statement, our hope is that wearing orange on and/or near September 30th will be recognized as a commitment to reconciliation in honour of the children of residential schools.

Students and Staff received their new Lampman Grizzly masks! A huge thank you to Michelle Johnson for kindly sewing, Nicole Hall for adding the school logo, and our SCC for funding the project. It is always nice to get new school swag.

Physical activity not only has many positive benefits for our bodies but also our brains and our mental health. I challenge every family out there to make exercise part of your daily routines! After awhile it will become a habit and who couldn't use a healthy habit in their lives. Take care Lampman School Family, Mrs. Methot
