We had the Carleton Place elves in yesterday. They collected enough food for 2,181 meals (3,115 lbs. for those who are counting)! And just to top it up, there was $500 cash for the extras. Thank you Carleton Place Recreation & Culture Department and the Ocean Wave Fire Company for making this happen! #awesomestcoummitiesever #weallwin

There was A LOT of Santa activity this past weekend. His Mississippi Mills elves (Mississippi Mills Fire Department - Station 1) dropped off a whopping 4,004 lbs. of food and $3,256 in cash! We understand there is a bit of competition going on between the different local elf headquarters but we know who the winners are thanks to our communities and their overwhelming generosity. #loveourcommunities #takethatCovid

The Hunger Stop is starting jump as the holiday season approaches. This is Tram from Maggie's Place and Sandy (organizer of the Christmas Stocking campaign). Tram dropped off 18 brimming stockings (58 lbs. worth) and the contents for a few more. We started handing out the stockings on Monday to our adult clients - they are very excited!... Thank you Maggie's Place!

A request from us ... We have the most generous community ever and we know that you are thinking of us as we head into the holiday season. If you are thinking of having a food drive, PLEASE contact us 24 hours before you would like to drop off the donation at 613-257-8546 or at [email protected].... We only have enough volunteers regularly at the food bank to help our clients with their groceries (because Covid). If you have a trunkful or more than 4 banana boxes (see photo) of donations we have to make arrangements for additional volunteers and drop-off times outside of regular client hours.
