tanisi FB friends and family, Some of you who are close to me may know that I bead what nohkom called our most "powerful medicine". These beading practices have become a way of talking, sharing, and educating about sexual health and wellness. I use these pieces as gifts to those who shifting paradigms to create spaces of courage and resilience for Indigenous women and diverse genders. These beaded works are important arts based medicines. I created a beaded medicine piece f...or Ociciwan Contemporary Art Centre grand opening, called Three Generation of nitêh (my heart) connections. Unfortunate it was stolen on June 10 from the centre and we are requesting help from the public for the return of the stolen items, including my beaded medicine.
