COVID-19 update. With new restrictions for the North East Avalon our taproom will be closed this week (February 10-13). Live music, trivia, and Drag Brunch are canceled and we're working on refunding Drag Brunch tickets. We offer contactless pickup at our retail with will now be operating from 12-6PM Wednesday - Saturday (still ok for walkins to retail, but why not just order ahead and reduce contact time?). We will be working with @saucymouthtruck to consider reopening as a restaurant with table service next week, as we have done before in level 3, but for now until the current spike is settled we're just doing retail. Mount Pearl, a neighbouring city to St John’s, is surrounded by other towns and essentially landlocked. So, we have created our own beach and our own community gathering place where all are welcome. Together we advocated for online retail and curbside pick-up. We began canning and selling our beer across the province and the local support is fantastic. It's warm and sunny in February! For this lovely day we've just tapped a cask (a small naturally carbonated beer) of sour ale (Brackish without the salt) conditioned on Cherries and Coconut. Only 20L! We also dropped fresh Home and Away, Dream Island, and That Much Ocean to Marie's, so most locations have ten beers from us now! #nlcraftbeer

Taproom solstice hours! We're into our special holiday hours which means our retail is open at noon today and the taproom is open at 3 pm. It's a perfect time to drop in for a glass of stout and to pickup a gift card or a Landwash t-shirt. Same hours tomorrow, then open at noon on Tibb's Eve with live music from David Picco starting at 6 pm (and you probably want to reserve for that!). Taproom at Four! We're feeling pretty lucky to still be able to welcome you into the taproom for a beer these days, so we're excited to see you! And, fun, Jacob from @saucymouthtruck brought us some sand dollars (like from our logo!). While not acceptable as payment, they are super cute. #nlcraftbeer

Now in select Orange Stores! We just dropped One Wave, Brackish, Prickly Fish, Tidepool, and That Much Ocean to the Water Street and Pennywell Road North Atlantic/Orange Store locations. We also dropped to Holyrood and we have beer on route to the locations in Goobies (Sully's Market), Clarenville, Grand Falls-Windsor (Lincoln and Hardy), and Lewisport. And next week we'll be at the Dunville location too! We're working our way more and more places, so be sure to ask your local if they're planning on jumping on board! Cake Tray, our cherry cake pale ale, returns at noon along with a fresh-off -the-line batch of That Much Ocean New England IPA. That pushes us to 13 beers in our retail shop today. We always love to push our selection to the max at this time of year, so if you missed any of the beers we dropped in 2020 now is catch up time. It's holiday season and that means Cake Tray is back! Cake Tray is a pastry pale ale we brew with lactose, cherry puree, and a light dry hop to emulate the flavors of creamy pale Cherry Cake (this one was baked by @christinamcoady's mom!). Cake Tray will go on sale at our retail on Tuesday, December 15th at noon and will be online for contactless pickup. We brewed a lot this year, so stock up and save a few for Santa. #nlcraftbeer

It's Tibb's Eve! We're open at noon today, so pop in after getting through the crazy line at Costco or some last minute gifts. And, at 6 pm we have David Picco playing in the taproom! Fresh Pils! A fresh batch of Tidepool German Style Pilsner is now in cans at our retail shop at 181 Commonwealth Ave in Mount Pearl as well as most @mariesminimartanddeli locations across the North East Avalon! We're also still feeling Oktoberfest in the taproom with big mugs of Tidepool Pilsner for only $15. Live music with Joe Tucker tonight at 6 pm! We've also added a bunch of plexiglass screens to the taproom, so now we can split tables and work to better accommodate small groups! All co-hosted with Saucy Mouth Food Trucks, which is right inside the brewery!

Fresh Roast! A fresh batch of Hazures Rock Breakfast Stout is now in cans and on tap in the taproom. Brewed with heaps of oats and conditioned on @jumpingbeancoffee Tanzanian Peaberry coffee Hazures Rock packs a lot of roasty, creamy, and chocolaty flavors. Our favorite kind of breakfast! With the weather turning colder in the evenings, it's the perfect time to switch to stout or try one for the first time! #nlcraftbeer

Big News! Our first run of beer to Marie's Mini Mart locations on the North East Avalon is now complete! Most stores now have One Wave Blonde Ale, Brackish Sour Ale, That Much Ocean NEIPA, Tidepool Pils, Home and Away APA, and Hazures Rock Breakfast Stout. Some haven't unloaded fully to their Newfoundland Craft Beer Fridges yet, so just ask! This is our first foray into distribution and we couldn't be happier to partner with Marie's who have been so receptive to the industry. Long Weekend! We're stocked up with eight different beers showcasing a wide range of hoppy, sour, light, and dark flavors! Street Fry Throwdown is on! We've got @saucymouthtruck right inside the building serving up their Bun Cha Street Fries. Just order from the truck window down the hall (or online from your taproom table) and bring your fries back to your beer to enjoy! We've got a Tidepool Pilsner special on to bundle with these fries: $18 for the fries and a nice cold glass of Pilsner! Speaking of Pilsner, we took a very small amount of our Tidepool wort (unfermented beer) and instead of using a nice cold conditioning lager yeast, used @escarpmentlabs Krispy, a unique super hot fermenting strain that can make beers that taste similar to lagers! Fun! We dry hopped it with cascade and citra hops and called it Krispy B'y. Only 20L on tap only from our pilot batch series today until it's gone! #nlcraftbeer

It's already September! While it's sad to see summer reaching a close, it's an exciting time for hoppy beers, Oktoberfest vibes, and a Street Fries Showdown! Yes, our dryer and more citrus punchy Green Nap Hazy IPA is back in cans and at the taproom (retail at noon, taproom at four). Our big Oktoberfest mugs are back and for this Oktoberfest season we're doing pours of our one liter Maß (pronounced [mas]) mugs of our crispy German-inspired Pils, Tidepool, for $15 at the tap...room. And Street Fries Showdown is on at some of the fine food trucks and restaurants on the Avalon, including our pals @saucymouthtruck. They've got Bun Cha Street Fries competing in the taproom, with drizzled spicy hoisin mayo, diced spring rolls with a side of Nuoc Cham, marinated tofu, carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, green onion, micro greens with a crunchy chick pea garnish on double fried house cut fries. Starting today you are required to wear a mask when visiting the brewery. For retail (open 12 - 8 Tuesday!) it's easy, for visiting the taproom you must wear it while not seated/drinking beer (going to the bathroom, @saucymouthtruck, etc). We have a box of disposable ones if you forget (for $1 to cover costs), but considering how stylish some of these masks are you probably have a cooler one anyway! Sanitizer stations both inside the taproom and by the front door, so don't forget to use those entering or exiting. We still have all eight beers from our last post in cans and we've got limited seating left for Wednesday trivia with @sjcnl709, so if you want a table for the next exciting round, act fast! #nlcraftbeer #maskon
