This is real! With heavy hearts and strong prayers we are trying to support the homes the only way we know how! Today we drove to Tavistock PeopleCare and Tillsonburg Maple Manor to donate these beautifully packaged healthcare caps, they are handmade by Capsnbuttons mom & daughter Jen and Liz business. They went to work and had them done so quickly for us so we could get them to these homes in need! thank you ladies We also brought the homes gift cards so they can have a ...warm drink from Timmies when they may find a moment to have a break. Our hearts and souls are with you, we are trying to support in the only way we can! You can’t see them, but under our masks is a smile from ear to ear. This is the first group of LRV staff that went for their 1st COVID-19 vaccine!

It’s definitely been a difficult year for all of us, so what better way to say goodbye to 2020 and ring in 2021 than a New Years Eve day party with our residents. It brings us pure joy, love and happiness to see all of our residents smile and enjoy the small things in life. Covid-19 may have taken away the things we have all taken for granted in life, but it has also shown us how to pull together as a team and family and prove to the world that nothing can take away love, empathy and compassion. We wish all of our residents a Happy New Year and better days to come in 2021.

Today we had a home full of smiles & hope as our residents received their first dose of the COVID vaccine. We have anticipated this day for months, and we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Langdon Retirement Villa is a small locally owned retirement home in Woodstock, Ontario - we have approximately 40 residents. We are seeking part time PSW / Wellness Guest Attendant to work nights/afternoons and of course work their share of weekends. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our fantastic nursing team. This position is responsible for, but not limited to providing for the care and needs of our residents, delivering medication, and assisting in the... nursing process (observing and reporting changes in the residents' physical and emotional state). If you are interested please submit your resume and we can schedule a video interview at your earliest convenience. Our preference is for applicants to reside within Oxford County. Also note, as per the current guidelines, you cannot work for more than one care facility at one time (LTC, Retirement, Hospital). You will also be required to complete a COVID-19 test, vulnerable sector check, and TB skin test.

Our Christmas Elves were busy in the kitchen baking for Santa’s arrival! They even made home made fudge which was a HUGE hit! Our residents were beyond happy to see Santa and their smiles were priceless. A smile from our residents during these trying times makes our days at LRV truly blessed. We wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and a safe and healthy New Year!

Hearts, love and kindness was spread around Langdon Retirement Villa for Valentine’s Day. A huge thank you to one of our past residents Helen Stovers’ family who so kindly brought in Valentine’s Cookies for all of the residents and staff in memory of Helen. We had a party for Helen because we all know she loved a good party.

Langdon Retirement Villa residents and staff would like to put out huge hug and thank you to our local Zehrs Woodstock for putting together these beautiful arrangements for our home certainly brought in some smiles and sunshine thank you Heather
