10 Great Privileges We Forget to Be Thankful For Even in times of uncertainty even when life seems far from perfect it's always important to keep things in... perspective. You are alive. You didn't go to sleep hungry last night. You didn't go to sleep outside. You had a choice of what clothes to wear this morning. You haven't spent a minute in fear for your life. You know someone who loves you. You have access to clean drinking water. You have access to medical care. You have access to the Internet. You can read. Some might say you are incredibly wealthy and privileged, so remember to be thankful for all the things you do have. Your turn What would you add to the list? What do you sometimes forget to be thankful for? ~ By Marc Chernoff ~

I love this photo! While it feels way too early to be thinking about Christmas, it will be here before we know it. What if you could have the holidays paid for long before the day arrives? What if you could eliminate the financial stress that comes along with that time of year? Say what?!? If you put a cash flow plan in place now, not only would you have Christmas taken care of, youd also reduce the amount of money you pay in interest and fees, AND your money would be add...ing to your happiness not detracting from it... A great challenge for all of us! _______________________________________ Things You Should Never Stop Doing for Yourself ~ By Angel Chernoff... When I was 16 years old and too young to fully grasp the sensitivity of the situation, I interviewed my grandmothers friend, JoAnn, who was terminally ill, for a school project entitled The Speed of Life. About five minutes into the interview I began questioning JoAnn about her illness and her life situation. So, I tried to delicately ask, What is it like to wake up every morning and know that you are dying? Well, she replied, What is it like to wake up every morning and pretend that you are not? Whoa! In an instant, JoAnns response opened my young eyes to one of lifes greatest truths: Today is the oldest each of us has ever been and the youngest we will ever be again. In other words, life is short and the clock is ticking. Its kind of scary, but its true. If there was ever a perfect day to stand strong beside your values, your ambitions, and whats best for you, that day is today. So today I challenge you to Never stop listening to your own inner voice. The unhappiest folks are those who care the most about what everyone else thinks those who let everyone else drown out their own inner voice. So stand strong beside yourself. Theres great freedom in leaving others to their opinions. Never stop making the best of it. When you lose something, dont think of it as a loss, but as a gift that lightens your load so you can better travel the path that was meant for you. Never stop indulging in lifes little daily joys. Notice what you love, not what you hate. Smile more. Happiness is enjoying the small things in life, all while chasing after the big ones. Never stop evolving. Just because you liked something at one point in time doesnt mean youre required to always like it. You can change your mind. You dont have to pretend to like something as an act of loyalty to who you are as a person, based on who you once were. To be sincerely loyal to yourself is to allow yourself the freedom to change. The only thing you ever are for sure is unsure, and this means youre growing, and not stagnant or imprisoned by old ways of thinking.
Its getting to be that time of year again!

Lets talk about YOUR cash flow plan!
Some very helpful ideas
10 Signs You Needs a Cash Flow Plan A cash flow plan is NOT a budget. It is a plan that helps you manage day-to-day cash flow. It is a plan that takes into account your financial obligations. A cash flow plan would also provide you guidance on future costs like purchasing your next vehicle, handling emergencies and planning for major expenses such as renovations. Most importantly, a cash flow plan quickly helps you FIND the money to ensure you can say yes to the things you wa...nt in life! 1. Your retirement plan is not fully funded, meaning you cant prove for sure you have enough to retire. 2. Your retirement goals and plans are based on replacing a percentage of pre-retirement income rather than based on your actual expenses projected into the future. 3. You have turned down reasonable insurance recommendations, citing cost or other reasons that you feel are cost issues in disguise. 4. Your still takes out car loans more than 10 years after starting your career. 5. You have some major life goals that require saving for. 6. You have not maxed out your TFSA. 7. You are retiring in the next 10 years and will have to live at least partially off invested assets. 8. You are not stinking rich and cannot burn money for fun. 9. You have withdrawn money from an investment, or stopped an investment strategy, for reasons or purposes other than what that money was being accumulated for. And the MOST DEFINITE sign you need a cash flow plan is You DO NOT HAVE A CASH FLOW PLAN! The fact is, most people need a cash flow plan and rarely do they have one. Instead, we most often deal with issues of cash flow after trouble has already hit. We buy the fire extinguisher when the house is already engulfed in flames. So start cash flow planning now so you not only have the extinguisher in advance but you can live the life you want! Ask me how!
Todays market close - nice to see some upside. Other good news in this article is the Bank of Canada has held rates flat.

Its Tax Time!! Per a KPMG News Flash Dated December 7, 2015 No. 2015-38, Personal Tax Rate Changes Confirmed for 2016: "Today the new federal government announced two tax rate changes for individuals: a reduction in the federal tax rate for income between $45,283 and $90,563 to 20.5% (from 22%) and an increase of 4% in the tax rate for income over $200,000 to 33% (from 29%), starting January 1, 2016.... The government also announced that the contribution limit for Tax-Free Savings Accounts will be reduced to $5,500 per year (from $10,000 per year), starting in 2016. As a result of the increase in the top federal tax rate to 33%, consequential changes were made to the tax rate for inter vivos trusts, as well as the refundable tax on Canadian controlled private corporations investment income, among other things" I have the entire news flash and would be happy to forward it to you.
Have #goals for the #future Feeling good about the future is important for our #happiness. We all need goals to motivate us and these need to be #challenging enough to excite us, but also achievable. If we try to attempt the impossible this brings unnecessary #stress. Choosing #ambitious but realistic goals gives our #lives direction and brings a sense of #accomplishment and satisfaction when we achieve them.
