We are beginning to expand our business hours and are starting to see patients for regular needs in addition to emergencies. In order to maintain social distancing, and allow for extra cleaning time, we require an appointment for any type of office visit. To this appointment, we are asking that you please wear a mask or some type of facial covering. Our front door will be locked and we will let you in at your appointment time. We have hand sanitizer to use, or soap and water if you prefer. Currently, our hours are: Monday & Tuesday 8:30-4:00, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00-4:30. We will be closed on Saturday & Sunday.

If you are experiencing dry eyes, you may have an inefficient tear film where the lipid/oily layer is breaking up and allowing your tears to evaporate. #TipTuesday Keep your glasses far away from hairspray. The sticky particles are airborne and will adhere to your eyewear if they’re anywhere in the vicinity. It’s best to take them off and leave them in another room. If your Rx is strong, and you need them to get from room to room, you can lightly cover them with a towel if you’re careful. If you do get some hairspray on your lenses try soap and water to remove it. Did you know that the area commonly referred to as the #waterline is actually an important, functioning part of your eye? You may be able to see tiny little dots which are called #meibomianglands Their function is to produce an oily layer to keep your tears from evaporating!! Btw your cornea (the clear part)gets its oxygen from the tears since there are no blood vessels there to deliver oxygen. Wash your lashes regularly so the glands dont get clogged.
