The Government of Canada’s LGBTQ2 Secretariat is pleased to launch a national LGBTQ2 survey to better understand the daily realities and experiences of LGBTQ2 p...eople in Canada. If you self-identify as Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, or queer, we want to hear from you. What you say will help inform the first federal LGBTQ2 Action Plan to advance equity and improve the lives of LGBTQ2 people in your community. With the support of all federal public servants, we can ensure the survey reaches a broad internal and external audience that will lead to more accurate and up-to-date data on the lived experiences of diverse LGBTQ2 communities to address the challenges that many face. If you do not identify as an LGBTQ2 person, there is no better time to be an ally. Encourage your LGBTQ2 family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues aged 16 or older to share their voices and help make a change. Fill out the survey at: www.Canada.ca/lgbtq2-action-plan

If you are a resident of the Township of Langley, please consider sending a letter of support for the installation of a rainbow crosswalk between the School Board Office and the RCMP Office. Rainbow crosswalks are a display of inclusion in any community and we certainly support this installation. Please submit letters to TOL Council before the Monday, Sept. 21 council meeting. https://www.tol.ca/your-town/mayor-and-council/councillors/

Thank you to Langley City Council for raising the Pride flag today to kick off Pride week. We were honoured to be the community group to sponsor the event this year. Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, it was a smaller crowd than in previous years. Thank you to everyone that joined us today and Happy Pride! #LangleyPride2020
