Calling all Curlers!!! The Town of Lanigan is looking for volunteers to help install the new playground equipment May 13th & 14th!! 15-20 volunteers are required for each day. Are you able to help out?? Contact Bailey Williams prior to April 22nd with the day(s) you are able to help and she will get your name on the list! ... Volunteers are required to wear a hard hat, hard-toed shoes, safety glasses, work gloves, take proper COVID measures and be a minimum age of 16. *Please provide your own safety gear*

As you're all aware, the Covid-19 pandemic, and subsequent government mandated health orders have been hard on people, businesses, and the economy. Our rink is no different. It is with a heavy heart that I say, we have decided to close our doors for the year. Due to the continuing public health order, concerns about public health, and financial issues, we have decided that we will have to shut the plant off for the year. It is not what we were hoping for when we began in Oct...ober, but we cannot hold on any longer without depleting our remaining finances. I must stress, that this has not been a decision taken lightly, our board has been in contact many times since the initial shutdown, and started the year with a very good cleaning and distancing plan in order to keep our curlers safe. Since the most recent shutdowns, we've been discussing the options available to us, but time has unfortunately forced our hand. Thank you to my fellow board members for their dedication, and commitment to the rink. And to our caretaker Ray Loyns for his work to keep our rink, and ice in great playing shape over these past few months. We hope that whenever we can return, that you'll be able to join us. Either as a league player, at a bonspiel, or at an event. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for any upcoming fundraisers that may occur. Thank you for your continued support over the years.
