Twas the night before THE DEMO DERBY! I hear there may be a lot of drivers out to smash their cars! Guaranteed to be exciting! Gates open to the public at 11:30. Pole time is 1:30 rain, snow or shine!... Rev em' up boys and girls you got just tonight to get those finishing touches done on the car before tomorrow!!! Dont forget Fat Les's chip truck will be in attendance to bring something hot to warm us up. For the derby this weekend, there will not be parking in the west field where people normally parked during the fair. The ground is just too soft and you will get stuck and the field will also get ruined. Please stay on the gravel roadways at all times. Thank you in advance!

We just met Santa at the fairgrounds and just about ready to start our trip through town!

Thank you to everyone who came out today to support the Lansdowne Fair, we hope everyone enjoyed their BBQ beef. A big thank you to all the dedicated volunteers that worked hard all day and the past few days to make this BBQ a success. Coming up, Santa will be in Lansdowne next Sunday and will be riding around town to see all the kids (young and old) Also on November 27, demolition derby!

Things are moving quite well here at the BBQ. Hope everyone enjoys their meal!

We are BBQing now at the fairgrounds! Come out at 3pm to support your Lansdowne Agricultural Society! $20 gets you BBQ beef, mashed potato, veg, gravy and your choice of a slice of homemade pie!

Fat Les's mobile Chip Stand will be at the Derby on Nov 27, 2021. Dont miss it!

Well folks, it's been a mild winter thus far. Today we experience what Ontario's winter is really like. We will have a general meeting next Tuesday, August 4th at 7pm at the fairgrounds.

Our AGM was held on Tuesday November 24, 2020 at the Community Building in the large hall, socially distanced! We would like to take a minute and welcome our new Associate Director, Jessica Bishop whom recently moved to Lansdowne and expressed interest in Lansdowne Agricultural Society. Welcome Jessica! We would also like to welcome Irene Lappan, Ag Director for Lansdowne Agricultural Society. The Lappan family has been a large supporter of Lansdowne Fair for many years an...d we are happy to have Irene on the Board. Welcome Irene! A motion was made at the Directors meeting immediately following the AGM to keep the current Executive for 2021. The motion was seconded and was unanimously accepted. Your Lansdowne Agricultural Society Executive for 2021: President - Dean Garrett VP - Craig Sommerville 1st VP - Wayne Shields Treasurer - Tina Bowen Secretary - Gert Bowen 2020 has been a year that no one will forget. We hope for a better year and fair coming to Lansdowne in 2021.

Well folks, the fair weekend has come and gone. I was on the grounds yesterday with another Director and it was very sobering. We took a minute to laugh about some of the antics and behind the scene crazy that goes on. Despite the tremendous amount of work that all of the volunteers do and the late nights (sometimes sleepless), we do it because we love Lansdowne Fair ! Rest assured we will do it again next summer, #biggerandbetter
