CHEMISTRY! - the unexplained attraction that just exists and can't be questioned. Sparks fly, the heart pounds, the soul yearns...... Now that I have your attention..... I actually thinking about a different sort of chemistry...... because its WOMEN AND GIRLS IN SCIENCE day!!! Why this is important to me is because 40 years ago it was pretty lonely as a female mathematics major at Waterloo...good thing I met my husband and we fell in love.... This day was founded by the UN to encourage girls; - to let them know it’s just fine to embrace science as a career if this is where their heart lies. It’s also a day to recognize the critical role of women scientists. Tonight I will toast the women of science with some bubbly and thank Barbe-Nicole Clicquot - who revolutionized the champagne process in the 1800’s so I may enjoy it today. Cheers women!
