It's the most failure prone component in the system. Next, we put in a new Solid State Drive and put the latest O/S build on it. Booting (and similar operations) are now about five times faster. Most new laptops have O/S installations that are several builds old - not ours. Then of course, there's the service and support you get with us. Yes, there is a difference :)

You're probably familiar with "Walmart Greeters". Well, we have our own greeters here at Lantz Electronics. Customers are always intrigued by the amount of wildlife here and often stop to take pictures.

Here's a "Lantz" computer that is 21 years old. It's been the main accounting system for a local contractor all these years. It didn't fail - he just thought he should replace it, just in case. Here's an unexpected side-effect of the current state of affairs. I just sold a laptop for $799.95. I went to reorder - new price is $1,099.95 !!! Canadian dollar problems, I guess I'm glad I have a good inventory - for now !

This thirteen year old desktop came in for some maintenance due to some noise. It has spent most of its life on a construction site. We changed two fans and the CMOS battery. Thats it after thirteen years! Original power supply and hard drive. Yes, there is a difference when you buy your PC from Lantz Electronics - Low cost of ownership, Service & Support. We are getting this beautiful Acer UltraBook ready for one of our long time customers. This has a 1920x1080 touch screen youd have to see to believe, Intel i5 processor, 8 gb RAM and a blistering fast Solid State drive. It boots in mere seconds and weighs under one kg. Awesome !!

Here is a "Lantz" brand desktop PC. Its twelve years old. The customers software needs havent changed all these years so there was no need of an upgrade. Yesterday, the system went down. A new power supply and case fan and the customer is out the door. Turnaround time - two business hours. Yes, there is a difference in PC quality - and quality of service :)

A normal day here at Lantz Electronics. This was an emergency for the customer with no parts readily available. So, we fixed the broken part. Turnaround time, about three business hours.

Please note that our regular business hours are now Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 4:30. Were closed Saturday, Sunday, and the standard holidays. Lets all hope for a beautiful autumn :)

ALERT - There is a phishing scam out there where you get an email from a legitimate parking authority that informs you that you have a parking ticket. You can pay it online. If you check out the name of the authority it is legitimate, except this crook is making the email look like the legitimate authority when its not. In paying the ticket, they get your bank client card AND your password. Very soon afterwards you will find a large amount of money has been e Transferred from your account. A closer check of the email will find some bad English - like the word canada without a capital C and the abbreviation for Corporation with a lower case c - things like that. It never ends !!
