Hello dear friends from l'Arche orphanage in Haiti. We have an exciting project announcement from our co-founder Asmick below. You can also watch the video attached The Dream We have been dreaming of a creating bakery for the past years. This project consists of building an infrastructure that will have the capacity to bake bread and other pastry for the orphanage but also for the community. This micro business has 4 objectives:... Teach our children the trade of bakery and business. Reduce operation cost by making and consuming our own bread Help the orphanage attain self-sufficiency by selling its product Empowering the community by providing them a source of revenue (making them resellers) The accomplishment No Longer a dream this project came to realty in January 2021 The total cost of this project was around 12,000$.The project came to realization with the generous contribution of members from Bethel community church; one of our long time partners. Status of The orphanage As the Covid-19 pandemic continue to impact the world , Arche Orphanage continues to function despite all the challenges. Health wise the children and staff are doing good. Lately Haiti is in turmoil due to political conflicts. Schools and other institutions were once again closed across the country. Gonaives (the closest city ) is in red alert mode. movement is limited and people are very careful to not become victims of kidnapping and gun violence. This prompts us to use wisdom in stocking food and other necessities in case the situation gets worse. God is good and He is in control. This is a video of 17 mins that Mauro had in is archive that he wanted to share with all of you . You can see every kids one by one, keep in mind they have grown since 3.5 years ago and as well you can see everything that was done at the orphanage. Since then, please keep in mind, we also install a solar panel with water pump, grown a very large garden with veggies and fruits, we received hundred of goats and built a dorm for the kids older then 18 years old. We will try to send you an updayed video in the coming months

Chers donateurs et amis de l'orphelinat d'Arche Haïti (S'il vous plaît, aidez-moi), Comme vous le savez tous, Haïti est en ébullition en ce moment. Le feu et le sang sont au menu du jour. Les masses descendent dans la rue pour protester en raison de problèmes politiques et économiques. Cela a eu un impact sur la vie de ceux qui vivent sur l'île. Il y a une pénurie généralisée, les routes sont bloquées. De nombreuses institutions financières sont fermées. Il y a une pénurie de... gaz et de nourriture. Le coût de la vie a considérablement augmenté et tout est plus cher. L'orphelinat a désespérément besoin de fonds supplémentaires pour faire face à ce défi de continuer à fournir 3 repas par jour à nos enfants. Notre budget de fonctionnement annuel de 73 000 $ ne prévoyait pas ce problème et nos fonds sont faibles. Notre espoir pour Noël cette année est le suivant. Dear donors and friends of the Arche orphanage, As you all know Haiti is in turmoil as we speak. Fire and blood is the daily menu. The masses are taking to the streets in protest due to political and economical issues. This has impacted the lives of those living on the Island. There's a shortage of everything. Roads are blocked. Many financial institutions are closed. There is a shortage of gas and food. The cost of living has increased drastically and everything is more expe...nsive. The orphanage is in dire need of additional funds to face this challenge of continuing to provide 3 meals a day to our kids.
